Sebastopol is 7 miles going west of Santa Rosa and about 56 miles north of San Francisco. It is a town of 7,774 people, median age is 42 years old. Sebastopol was named in the late 1850s after a prolonged fist fight which was linked to the British siege of the Russian seaport of Sevaspotol. Prior to this, the region was populated by Miwok and Pomo tribes, who experienced and delighted lots of fish as well elk and deer. Sebastopol is very well known by growing the majority of the Gravenstein apples. For about 100 years, it has been commemorated the Apple Blossom Festival, an event that offers a parade, music, vendors and delicious food.
