Above the building envelope is a California State Water Control Board recognized pond permitted for recreational use.  Wildlife throughout the area enjoys coming to this pond frequently, including deer, ducks, crane, heron, turkey and even wild boar on past occasions.

Down the backside of the ranch is its Russian River frontage where the river comes down at the Southern edge of Alexander Valley.  This part of the Russian River is very private.  Rarely does anyone from upstream kayak down this section of the river.  The current family that owns this ranch has enjoyed it for many decades.  In the past, they have built summer cabins along the river for their kids to use for camping, swimming and to enjoy nature.  Kayaking, tubing and fishing are also fun things to do on this river during Summer months.
